APHA’s Annual Meeting and Expo is the largest and most influential annual gathering of public health professionals. Nearly 13,000 public health practitioners, students, educators, advocates and supporters gathered for APHA’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Expo. The session, which zeroed in on a theme of “Health and Justice Denied,” explored the history of racism and oppression in the U.S. and how its traumatic legacy continues to impact the health and well-being of our communities.
Through a great support from Lutheran Foundation of St Louis, Washington University Institute for Public Health and V4A board of directors, two people from V4A, the Executive directors Mr. Geoffrey Soyiantet and Christina Vivit, V4A board member were able to attend the event in Philadelphia.
