WE ARE FOR IMMIGRANTS BY IMMIGRANTS
"This country was built and continues to survive off the backs of immigrants and refugees" Lauren Jauregui
Newcomer & Settlement Services
We help new immigrants and refugees navigate and thrive in St. Louis through orientation, financial literacy, employment and career support, business guidance, and housing resources. Our welcome workshops connect families with essential information and community resources
Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future
We empower immigrant youth through mentorship, leadership development, mental health awareness, and the arts. Through mentoring, Mental Health First Aid, dance, music, and creative expression, youth build confidence, resilience, cultural pride, and strong connections.
Women Empowerment Program
We empower immigrant women with the skills, knowledge, and support to thrive. Through workshops, mentoring, and community-building, women gain confidence and opportunities in health, financial literacy, careers, entrepreneurship, and leadership.
Immigrant Career Path Services
We help immigrants and refugees build successful careers through job coaching, skills training, resume support, and connections to local employers—equipping individuals to succeed and advance in the St. Louis workforce.
Promoting Mental Well-Being in the Immigrant Community
We advance health equity through culturally responsive health education, outreach, and mental health support. In partnership with PreventED, we have trained over 200 community members in Mental Health First Aid, helping families recognize challenges, reduce stigma, and build healthier, more supportive communities.

WHY WORK WITH US
Immigrants brings new Talents and Great Innovations to our region
New Families Services
We provide workshops for new immigrants and refugees who are settling in St Louis. The training include financial literacy, job search, interview readiness and resume building. Participants are provided with a welcome package with key contacts and information about schools, places of worship, house renting information and community first responders.
Adult Programs
English Classes for Adults (ESOL) This program focuses on providing proficiency programs for refugee and immigrant community members in the St. Louis metro area. There are four thematic areas of delivery which include education, economic, health, and technology. Subcategories of interest include literacy development, resume and cover letter development, and learning about options for childcare.
Women Empowerment
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT Empowering Immigrant women to participate fully in economic life is essential to build stronger economies and improve the quality of life for many families and communities. Vitendo4africa believes that an empowered woman has the potential to break the cycle of poverty in the immigrant community, keep the family healthy and more connected with resources in the community.
V4A IMPACT STORIES
More about US
“Vitendo 4 Africa helped me get settled in the USA, providing the guidance and support I needed to build my dream business. Today, I am financially stable and able to support my family. Their mentorship also made a huge difference for my daughter—she received the best advice and was able to graduate college debt-free. I am forever grateful for the impact Vitendo 4 Africa has had on our lives.”— Robert Gacheru
Promoting Community Integration and Cultural Exchange
At Vitendo 4 Africa, we are dedicated to promoting community integration and fostering cultural exchange, especially within schools. Over the years, we have supported more than 20 schools in the St. Louis region in establishing Multicultural and Passport Nights as annual events. These celebrations serve as a platform for students to embrace their unique cultural identities while providing opportunities for others to learn about and appreciate different cultures.
In addition, we host meaningful dialogues between African immigrants and African Americans to bridge cultural gaps, share experiences, and build stronger, more inclusive communities. By fostering compassion and understanding, we are helping shape a future where students and communities respect and celebrate diversity. Through these initiatives, we aim to promote global understanding, unity, and empowerment for all.
