New Immigrant & Refugee Support Services
Vitendo4Africa provides essential resources and workshops to help new immigrants and refugees successfully settle in St. Louis. Our services include financial literacy, employment connections, career advancement support, business startup guidance, and information on home ownership and rental options.
We also host orientation workshops where participants receive a welcome package with key contacts and important resources to help them navigate their new community with confidence.
Empowering Youth for a Brighter Future
Vitendo 4 Africa empowers immigrant youth through mentorship, mental health awareness, leadership development, and expressive arts. Our mentors offer guidance, career support, and life skills, while Mental Health First Aid training and open conversations help reduce stigma and strengthen well-being.
We also provide art and dance therapy, giving children a safe space to express emotions, build confidence, and embrace their cultural identity. African music and dance deepen cultural pride, promote wellness, and strengthen family connections.
Thank you to the St. Louis Children’s Service Fund and the St. Louis Mental Health Board for supporting this work.
Women Empowerment Program
Vitendo4Africa is dedicated to uplifting immigrant women by providing the knowledge, skills, and support needed to thrive in their new community. Our Women Empowerment Program creates a safe and supportive space where women can build confidence, strengthen their voices, and pursue personal and economic growth.
We offer workshops and resources focused on health and wellness, financial literacy, career development, entrepreneurship, and family support. Through peer mentoring, leadership training, and community-building activities, women gain the tools to navigate challenges, embrace their strengths, and achieve greater independence.
Immigrant Career Path Services
Vitendo4Africa helps immigrants and refugees build strong career pathways through coaching, training, and job connections. We offer resume and interview support, career guidance, and access to local employers and skill-building programs.
Whether starting a new career or seeking advancement, we equip individuals with the tools and confidence they need to succeed in the St. Louis workforce.
Promoting Mental Well-Being in the Immigrant Community
Vitendo4Africa is committed to advancing health equity in the immigrant community through culturally centered health education and outreach programs. Our approach ensures families receive the information, support, and resources they need in ways that honor their culture, language, and lived experiences..
At Vitendo 4 Africa, we support the well-being of immigrant families by offering Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) training. In partnership with PreventED, we have trained over 200 community members to recognize and respond to early signs of mental health challenges.
With a focus on cultural competence, this training helps break stigma and equips parents, professionals, and community leaders with practical tools to support those around them. Together, we are building stronger connections and a healthier, more supportive community.

Women Empowerment
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT Empowering Immigrant women to participate fully in economic life is essential to build stronger economies and improve the quality of life for many families and communities. V4A IMPACT STORIES
More about US
“Vitendo 4 Africa helped me get settled in the USA, providing the guidance and support I needed to build my dream business. Today, I am financially stable and able to support my family. Their mentorship also made a huge difference for my daughter—she received the best advice and was able to graduate college debt-free. I am forever grateful for the impact Vitendo 4 Africa has had on our lives.”— Robert Gacheru
Promoting Community Integration and Cultural Exchange
At Vitendo 4 Africa, we are dedicated to promoting community integration and fostering cultural exchange, especially within schools. Over the years, we have supported more than 20 schools in the St. Louis region in establishing Multicultural and Passport Nights as annual events. These celebrations serve as a platform for students to embrace their unique cultural identities while providing opportunities for others to learn about and appreciate different cultures.
In addition, we host meaningful dialogues between African immigrants and African Americans to bridge cultural gaps, share experiences, and build stronger, more inclusive communities. By fostering compassion and understanding, we are helping shape a future where students and communities respect and celebrate diversity. Through these initiatives, we aim to promote global understanding, unity, and empowerment for all.
